Rothley Parish Council were aware that their Village Hall needed re-roofing and spent a great deal of time looking for contractors to undertake the work.

The project was a challenging one because the Village Hall was built in 1886 and had a variety of different sloping roofs along with a section of flat roof. Despite many enquiries and approaches to numerous roofing contractors Rothley Parish Council were unable to find any contractor willing to do the job. This changed on asking Steve Mills & Son to come and quote.

On accepting their quotation scaffolding was erected and work started promptly thereafter. The work was done efficiently and with great care. Because the building was nearly 140 years old the work had to be done sensitively and reclaimed material was obtained from a factory in Sheffield.

Once the work was completed the scaffolding was removed within days and the premises were left in very good order with everything tidied up. In addition to the excellent quality of the work the roofing squad led by Steve himself were polite and very accommodating.

We are all extremely happy with the new roof on our adjoining houses.
